Financial advisor.
Math geek.
Truth teller.

LORI BEAN, CFP®, ChFC®, MSFS

Lori grew up in rural Ohio, in the Appalachian foothills, where she learned how to make the most of what you have. With encouragement from her teachers, she attended Cornell University and saw both the benefits and trappings of wealth.

While considering graduate school, Lori answered a classified ad to become a financial advisor. She had loved her college economics and accounting classes and figured, at the very least, she might learn something useful about her own money.

After just a week of shadowing a colleague, she realized she had found her calling. She fell in love with helping people change the trajectory of their lives and has spent the last three decades helping people make sense of their money.

Along the way, she discovered that humor helped people feel more comfortable—especially when talking about the serious subjects they would rather avoid.

Her perspective is simple: money is nothing more than a means to living your best life. It gives you freedom, security and choices. It is NOT a guarantee of happiness.

“Future You is counting on Present You!”

Today, Lori lives in Las Vegas with her husband, Shane, a high school history teacher and coach who is looking forward to retirement, and their dogs, Roxy and Jake. Their two grown children still love them despite never receiving allowances.

She also considers herself officially $4 coffee rich.
